His wife, Valerie Cox, shared the sad news through a written statement, expressing their pain and sorrow. Núñez passed away in his home, surrounded by his loved ones, who had supported him throughout his life.
Núñez had earlier informed his fans about his diagnosis in an open letter on October 9, expressing his gratitude towards Puerto Rican people for their unwavering support. He also shared that he was receiving treatment from medical specialists and doing his best to overcome the setback with the help of his wife and children.
