Michele Rosewoman and Rufus Reid Duo at Mezzrow

Thursday, October 22nd
9:30 PM to 12:00 AM

“Pianist Michele Rosewoman is an ardent modernist, steeped in jazz and Cuban folkloric traditions. Most known for her Quintessence and New Yor-Uba ensembles and for her work with Greg Osby and Oliver Lake, she joins forces for this performance with the legendary bassist, Rufus Reid. Having performed together throughout the years in a myriad of musical contexts, they further embellish their long history with this duo performance of Rosewoman and Reid originals as well as standard repertoire.”
