Oh! Jazz, a live and on-demand subscription platform, has been launched globally. It brings live jazz performances from iconic clubs worldwide directly to the homes of subscribers globally. This transforms their living rooms into instant live jazz venues.
The platform was co-founded by Jesus Perezagua, formerly the President of Fox Networks Europe & Africa, and Dan Bessant, formerly the Head of Programming, Entertainment, and Music at Foxtel. Oh! Jazz offers a handpicked selection of over 150 new live shows each year from major cities such as London, Madrid, Tokyo, Sydney, and Melbourne. The shows represent various jazz styles and influences, including bluesy roots, swinging bebop, and Latin-infused jazz.
Oh! Jazz is thrilled to announce the appearance of Grammy-nominated artist Stanley Jordan in August. Jordan will perform live from Melbourne’s premier club, The JazzLab, as part of his Australian tour. The event will take place on Saturday, August 6th at 8 p.m. (AEST) and will be available for on-demand viewing as well.
Music lovers worldwide can enjoy a front-row seat to Stanley Jordan’s performance and all other live shows on the Oh! Jazz platform for a monthly subscription fee of $20. Moreover, 35% of the subscription revenue will be returned to the participating artists and clubs to help them prosper in the industry they love.
Jazz guitarist Stanley Jordan expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to share his Australian tour with the global jazz community through the Oh! Jazz platform. He added that it is exciting to think that jazz enthusiasts can now experience a performance from anywhere in the world and know that their subscription is then reinvested into the jazz industry.
To provide a state-of-the-art experience, Oh! Jazz has set up high-tech cameras in each participating club to capture every angle, element, and musical note of each performance. The cameras are managed remotely by producers worldwide.
According to Mr. Perezagua and Mr. Bessant, the founders of Oh! Jazz, they started this platform to support jazz artists and clubs with a sustainable business model that ensures their long-term success and growth. They believe that this platform will connect people all over the world through the marvelous world of jazz.
The founders added that the platform provides global audiences direct access to performers like Stanley Jordan, amplifying their amazing talent on a global scale. This gives every single person the unique ability to experience such performances in clubs around the world.
Subscribers can watch live and on-demand shows on any device, with the app downloadable on Android and launching soon on iOS. Oh! Jazz also provides the flexibility to change or cancel subscriptions at any time.
Oh!jazz is an Australian-based company.
